[That laughter makes his hair stand on end. Who can laugh like that after taking such a blow? He knows he hits ruthlessly... so obviously this kids's used to it. He's up against someone who takes pain and violence casually -- someone strong, too.

This is the kind of person he'd normally hope to surprise. A one-on-one fight in a narrow corridor puts him at a disadvantage he doesn't like.]

In the mood to die? That's pretty lame of you.

[It hurts -- well duh it hurts, that's what happens when you get hit, but as usual he can't bring himself to be concerned.

And this guy is pretty frustrating - he just has that sort of attitude Shirou can't stand. So really, he wouldn't feel too bad doing something regrettable to him.]

In the mood to see blood, actually!

[He's not concerned about getting hurt - he'll just fling himself headlong at Kida again, blade at the ready, aiming a swing at his side]

[He manages to dodge that one, by stepping back. But there's not much place to move. It's too small a space. Dodge-and-counter is a bad style to use down here, but it's all he's got against someone bigger than him with high stamina.

Still, he tries. He aims to disable a wrist with his next move, and at least he has the benefit of not holding back. There's none of a hero's fear of hurting people here. There's no filter at all, a bit of mental instability that helps offset his size.

Unfortunately it's not going to do a lot in the long run. He can hear the rumbling of a shifting wall, and the ground shakes enough to make him stumble just after he strikes. What was an open way behind him is now a dead end -- just another few feet. There's nowhere to go.]

[The crowbar meets his wrist with a dull thud and the crack of metal against bone -- and while it stops the knife swing and sends the blade clattering to the ground, that off-balance glint in Kida's eyes just goads Shirou on.

When he sees a solid wall conveniently between his opponent and a safe escape, an eager grin spreads across his face and he shoves Kida against the wall with all the force he can muster.

Is it a fair fight? Now, probably not the fairest -- he doesn't care. As long as it's fun, "fair" doesn't matter.

With one hand injured, he has to release Kida to get at another knife -- it'll be worth it, he's sure!]

Forgot it did that... hey, if I don't kill you completely, will you help me find a way out?

[All of Shirou's force is a good deal of force. Enough force to knock the wind out of him, easily. He manages not to hit his head on the wall, but it wouldn't take much to do that, when he has to pause to cough.

Of course he doesn't let himself just stop. He's in too hopeless a position to just stand there. So he tries to bring his crowbar up, hoping to shove the sharp end into Shirou's windpipe. It doesn't matter if it kills him. He doesn't care about the consequences of that kind of thing. He's just desperate to escape, particularly when he feels his face heating up from the objective kickback to the pain of his cut arm and bruised shoulders.]

You can die down here.

[His right arm already injured, he brings it up to block the crowbar. It feels good, even when the pointed end sinks into his arm, it feels so good, and he can't remember the last time he's felt so excited and alive and forget being good because honestly that feels miserable--]

You don't want to go back and see your friend?!

[Now that seems silly. You must not like him that much after all! For a moment, Shirou almost feels bad for Ryuugamine-kun -- if it were Shinji left back there, he'd do anything to get out alive. ~~and then kill the fucker later~~]

Guess I won't hold back, then!

[The knife is in his weaker hand, but it's still a knife, and he takes a swing at Kida's shoulder]

[He doesn't have room to move. There's nowhere to move to, so that one lands. He grits his teeth against the scream, but he can't suppress the shudder that comes after. It's not like he didn't know his objective could be unpleasant. He just hadn't really thought of it. It hadn't really come into play, outside of safe situations.

This isn't safe. This is the opposite of cozy and pleasant, so the reward for pain is anything but welcome. He needs to escape now. Maybe if he gets a knee to Shirou's groin?]

[He has enough sense to get out of the way of that, but oh, he won't let Kida get anywhere quite yet. Not with the smell of blood in the air and the sound of an all too familiar reaction -- he rounds on Kida again to give him another jab, right below the first]

[His voice is all childish maliciousness - like an excitable brat pulling legs off a bug]

Hey, isn't that weird?!

[This time he yelps, bringing his good hand up to the wounds out of reflex. It hurts, but it feels good, and he's cursing both feelings almost as much as the fact that Shirou noticed. He could deny it, but there's not much point when his face is as red and his breath is getting faster no matter how much he tries to stop it from doing so.

So he doesn't try. He just lets his legs go out from under him and hopes it's unexpected enough to let him scramble away on the floor. Dignity is not a problem. He learned a long time ago that survival (his, and more importantly Mikado's) requires a certain lack of pride.]

[It takes him a moment to realize what happened - though when he does, he eagerly follows, injuries be damned. Kida pissed him off before, and seeing that apparent enjoyment woven in with all the pain and disgust is exciting]

Everyone told me it's not normal at all! How does it make you feel? Disgusting? Embarrassed?

[He's not going to give an answer. It's none of Shirou's business anyway. He's just got to go, get on his feet, get upstairs, get back to Mikado, where it's safe--

But it's a tough maneuver to pull off minus one arm. He tries, but he's off balance, and pushing himself up and into a run turns into slipping on a smear of his own blood before he's even all the way upright. He lands hard, on his face and his bad arm, and for the moment it hurts enough to make him stay down, stunned and trying to catch his breath.]

Shit--

[Kida's down long enough -- Shirou has no reservations about sitting on his back, grabbing him by the hair, and yanking his head back just a bit]

You didn't answer.

[He's pretty disappointed, actually!]

[Kida thinks he can stay disappointed. He doesn't want to discuss that kind of thing with this kind of person. Then again, that position might very well get him killed. It's one of those moments. What he wants versus what's "best"... He knows what he'll choose, but he wants to resist a little longer.]

It's not your business. Get off of me.

[His free hand slides its way over Kida's shoulder until his fingers find those knife wounds.]

Come on...

[--and without warning or ceremony he jabs his fingers into them]

[That gets a vocal reaction. The jolt from the objective is proportional to the pain and comes at the same time, but it doesn't mean he's actually enjoying the pain in itself. It's still pain, it's still terrible, and as far as he's concerned it easily outweighs the reward. Like this, the unwelcome pleasure is just adding to the overall horrid experience.]

Knock it off, you creep!

Would you rather I stab you?

[Either way, he gives his fingers a shove, prodding at the flesh, leaning in eagerly to watch Kida's expressions]

No, I--

[He has to keep struggling. He has to get away and get back. There's someone waiting for him... But. But he can't risk getting killed over stubbornness. Even though this is a new situation for him, he can't let the fear of the unknown make him do something stupid. Mikado will be sad that he's hurt either way, but he'll be even more upset if he never comes home.

So this really is one of those moments. His own embarrassment and pain don't matter. He himself doesn't matter. If playing along means he survives, he just has to put up with anything that entails. It's like a switch flips -- he stops resisting all at once, suddenly going limp with just a small whimper.]

...It's gross.

[Shirou gives a low, thoughtful 'hmmm' as he yanks his fingers back out of Kida's wounds and examines the blood left behind on them.]

So it really isn't normal.

[His pulse slows along with his breathing as the rush of the situation begins to die down. Maybe it isn't surprising that there's something else 'wrong' and 'unnatural' about him. He's twisted beyond all recognition, after all, an atrocity that's been robbed of any worth or use.

With a frustrated huff, he reaches for his knife again]

Figures.

...What are you doing?

[He can't quite tell, face down, but he has a bad feeling. Shirou might be calming down, but he's breathing heavily, and his heart is pounding in his ears. He has to continuously recalculate the situation. Whatever happens, he has to make sure he stays alive.]

[S U R P R I S E - Shirou doesn't reply before he presses the tip of his knife down against Kida's back and drags i down a length of skin with an excited little giggle]

[He bites the side of his hand to muffle the response this time. It's reflex for his body to jerk, to try to arch away from the knife, but he's already on the ground with nowhere to pull away to. He can't hide his flushed face or the way he shivers, but he's cursing against his own skin with no sort of enjoyment too.

He wishes he could get his own knife out of his pocket, but Shirou's leg is in the way of that. Great luck, he has. He really "had it covered", didn't he?]

[He lifts the knife and adds another slash, parallel to the first, paying mind to keep his work neat. The calm is quickly dissolving again, replaced with an immature sort of determination.]

Does it still feel gross?! Are you embarrassed yet?

[It takes a moment to steady his breath enough to reply. His good hand reaches back, trying to find a way into his pocket. Just in case. Right now, killing Shirou seems like a really good idea, if he can't save himself by behaving.]

...Yeah. It's really... really gross. It's not me. It's just an objective.

[...and his mood goes bad just as quickly. Something about hearing "just an objective" makes him frustrated - fine, be that way. don't be as fucked up as he is. that's fine.

except not at all.

With a frustrated noise he slams the knife into Kida's good arm and stands up with a huff]

[Well. On the bright side, Shirou's gotten off of him. On the downside he's now got no good arms, his back is bleeding and he feels generally shaky from blood loss and sensory overload.

But he thinks he can still get up. Nothing's life threatening. He can still walk, if he can just swallow the pain. He just has to get himself sitting up, pull that knife out of his arm, and... and what? He can probably make it to his feet with the wall's help, but he has to keep an eye on Shirou... He's just going to keep that knife, though. Self-defense and all.]
